It was chartered as Szechwan Lodge No. 112, under the Grand Jurisdiction of the Philippines. It was re-chartered on the 28 th of March,1949 under the Jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of China(GLOC), as Szechwan Lodge No. 4. Szechwan Lodge had a difficult time in the beginning as it had no permanent meeting place. However, in 1961 the reigning Worshipful Master Wego W.K. Chiang arranged to donate a special room in I-Ning Middle School as a permanent Lodge site. The special Lodge hall was designed by Most Worshipful Brother S.S. Yuan. In 1973 the Lodge was forced to move to the Old MAAG NCO Club on Min-Chuan Road. After one year, it was moved again to No. 3, Lane 65, Hisn-Ping Street.

Szechwan Lodge No. 4 eventually moved to Lung-Tan County (Taoyuan), but now conducts its work at the China Masonic Temple in Taipei.
